What is Blood Pressure?
When your heart beats, it pumps blood round your body to give it the energy and oxygen it needs. As the blood moves, it pushes against the sides of the blood vessels. The strength of this pushing is your blood pressure.
Science of Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is continuously monitored by our body and adjusted constantly to meet the needs of our body. This monitoring is performed by baroreceptors. Baroreceptors are special receptors that detect changes in our blood pressure. Baroreceptors are found within the walls of our blood vessels. The aorta and the carotid sinus contain important baroreceptors, which continuously monitor blood pressure fluctuations. These baroreceptors transmit their data to the central nervous system, and more specifically, to the Medulla Oblongata.
The inadequate supply of oxygen, lifestyle disorders, stress and many other reasons can cause blood pressure problem. Due to present day hectic lifestyle human beings have forgotten the proper way of breathing, which is causing ill effects to heart as well as brain. The lifestyle disorders, hectic schedule is also causing immense stress, which further disturbs are blood pressure.

There are many types of blood pressure problems like high, low and fluctuating.
